But the real highlight of this rugged island is the “Boiling Lake.” It’s not actually boiling, but the steam rising from the lake creates a mesmerizing sight. But if you want to see this natural wonder, you’ll have to work for it. The only way to get there is by taking the Waitukubuli Trail, which is a challenging hike. You’ll need to be in good shape to walk 8 miles to the lake and then hike 4 miles back. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart!

The hike takes about six hours, so be prepared for a long day. And whatever you do, don’t even think about taking a dip in the Boiling Lake! It’s extremely dangerous and could lead to serious injury or even death. So, enjoy the view from a safe distance and take lots of pictures instead.
